IIE conducts Training of Trainers for the growth of Entrepreneurs in Nagaland 

Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship which is setting up an Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) at Kohima in under the Sankalp Scheme, conducted a 5 day Training of Trainers program at IIE Campus Guwahati from 22nd August to 26th August 2022. The program is sponsored by Directorate of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of Nagaland.

While speaking to the trainers on the concluding day Dr Lailt Sharma, Director, IIE said,“With the set up of EDC it will promote entrepreneurship and enhance the entrepreneurial eco-system and create a robust road map for the growth of entrepreneurs in Nagaland.” The EDC shall be established in the BOT model where the centre will be build, operate and transfer to the stakeholder.

With industry and subject matter experts as resource persons, the ToT program was attended by 19 participants from varied backgrounds and field of work from Nagaland. The 5 day training for trainers consisted of an intensive curriculum developed by IIE. The participants also visited the Northeast Cane and Bamboo Development Council (NECBDC) and Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology (IIFPT) as a part of the ToT programme.
