A 2 days interactive workshop on “Jackfruit for Sustainable Livelihoods and Enterprise “ is being organized by the Meghalaya Institute of Entrepreneurship (MIE), Govt. of Meghalaya, Shillong, in collaboration with Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Govt. of India, Guwahati on 29th & 30th July 2016.
The primary aim of the workshop is to make the prospective farmers & entrepreneurs aware of entrepreneurial opportunities present in the Jackfruit which is abandon in North East Region. The workshop will also include lectures and presentations by experts from the University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Bangalore, and demonstration by leading entrepreneurs of Kerala and Bangalore who will showcase the various value added products that can be prepared from this humble and long ignored fruit.
